Construction of Mutual of Omaha’s Downtown Headquarters Making Steady Progress at 290 Feet Tall
(OMAHA, NE) A complex project such as the construction of Mutual of Omaha’s new headquarters building in Downtown Omaha requires detailed coordination and planning, in which our team has been executing at a steady and flawless level. Lanoha Real Estate Company president, Jason Lanoha, spoke with WOWT regarding the progress of the 677 foot tower as well as what’s next for Mutual of Omaha’s Midtown campus.
“The core has now reached 290 feet tall,” Lanoha said. “The core will continue to grow and the garage will chase behind it. Although you see the concrete on the core occurring right now what is inside it is all the contractors doing the electrical work, plumbing work, fireproofing, dry walling and so forth.”
Once the tower is complete, the building’s core will be 677 feet tall.
Lanoha is excited to say by next year, you’ll finally be able to see the steel skeleton that will wrap around that core.
Construction for the new Mutual of Omaha tower is expected to be done in 2026. Lanoha said that’s when Mutual of Omaha employees at the Midtown offices will officially move in.
“Mutual of Omaha will move down here upon completion of the tower,” Lanoha said. “We’re imagining that campus right now and going through the design process and working with key stakeholders, and ultimately the goal is a vibrant mixed use area.”
